Summertime Highlights

We spent the majority of our summer at the local water park, but there were
occasions that we put the slip n slide up at home.

Camille put a swim diaper on her baby doll and took her swimming too.  I am
not exactly sure how I didn't notice her doing it. Once the baby was wet there
wasn't any point in spoiling the fun though.

Go Pat! There were a couple times he slid right off the end of the plastic and
into the fence. I really enjoyed myself as a spectator.

Camille is like a tractor beam when it comes to fire ants. She reacts badly to
them. After a particular nasty episode she started puking and I was afraid
she was developing an allergy. She was put to the test again with the above
picture and I watched her like a hawk monitoring her breathing and such, but
she was okay. Her leg swelled up to her knee and she couldn't walk for a
couple days, but eventually she was fine. Poor girl. The ants here are mean!

Zoo trip with Dad!

We went to Dinosaur Park. There is a state park here that
has dinosaur tracks everywhere near and around the river
bed. People kept telling us we had to go and to be sure to
bring our swimming suits to swim in the river. Well....July
isn't the peak tourist season here in Texas and we learned
this first hand on this trip. It was ridiculously hot and the
river was dry. On a positive note though, we got to see
some amazing tracks that normally would be under water.
It was really cool!

Caleb standing in a track. If you stood in the middle of the river bed and
looked off into the distance you could make out a whole trail 50 feet long of
one dinosaur's pace of about 10 tracks. Up close though most of them looked
like natural indents in the mud, but from a distance you could tell that it was
a long line of footprints from a dinosaur.

I love all the new pictures and updates. Seeing all your friends makes me happy. They look very nice. Mason asked if Paul could come to his birthday party next month and it made me miss you! I heard about Pat's new job and I am so glad things are better for him and you!
